Burlington Athletic Stadium is a baseball stadium in Burlington, NC and seats 3,500 people. It is also the home field for the Burlington Sock Puppets of the Appallation League. The stadium was also the location of the longest single-game broadcast in baseball history. The 27-inning game between the Burlington Indians and Bluefield Orioles went on for an amazing total of eight hours and fifteen minutes, and occurred over two days on June 24–25, 1988! Glencoe Mill Historic Village This is an early mill village located along the old Haw River. it's only 3 miles north of downtown Burlington off Highway 62. It is also listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Glencoe Cotton Mill complex is made up of the production facilities, the Company Store and Administrative offices of the mill president , a barber shop , Baptist Church , and small restored houses owned by private residents. L. Banks Holt House is a historic home located near Alamance, Alamance County, North Carolina. It was built in the 1870s. It is a popular area attraction and is make up of a two-story main block, and one-story hip-roofed wing in a vernacular Italianate style.
